Franklin Real Estate Photography

Propellr Photography is an owner-operated studio covering Franklin and the rest of southwest Milwaukee County. Doug Schommer handles every shoot end to end, from a subdivision listing off Ryan Road to an acreage parcel backing onto the Root River Parkway, which is why the look stays identical across a whole year of transactions. Interiors, exteriors, FAA-licensed aerial drone photography and video, Matterport 3D tours, measured floor plans and virtual staging can all happen in one visit, with MLS-ready delivery inside 24 hours.

Franklin Lots Are Big, and That Changes the Exterior Shot

Most of Franklin went up well after the older inner-ring suburbs, on parcels that leave real room around the house. That is the opposite problem from photographing a Milwaukee two-flat on a narrow lot, where the fight is for enough distance to fit the elevation in frame at all.

Here the distance is free, and the risk flips: a front exterior that reads small and marooned in the middle of its own yard. The fix is a lower camera position and a tighter lens than a cramped city lot would ever allow, worked from an angle that lets the lawn lead into the house instead of sitting as dead foreground. On the larger parcels toward the west side of the city the lot is a headline feature in its own right, and it takes an aerial to actually show it.

Garage-Forward Elevations in the Newer Subdivisions

A lot of Franklin's subdivision housing puts a two- or three-car garage at the front of the elevation. Photographed square-on, that garage door becomes the largest object in the first picture a buyer ever sees of the home.

The answer is a working angle rather than a straight-on hero shot: position so the entry and the living-side windows carry the frame and the garage falls away toward the edge. Late-afternoon light helps, because it puts the front door in light and the garage face in shadow. Where a subdivision still has young landscaping and thin trees, twilight exteriors earn their place more than they would on an established lot, because the lit windows carry the image instead of the planting.

Golf Course, Park, and Parkway Frontage

Franklin has more premium backdrops than most suburbs its size. Tuckaway frontage, the Root River Parkway corridor and the edges of Whitnall Park, the largest park in Milwaukee County, all give a listing something buyers actively pay for.

Backing onto green space is a headline feature, and it is one interior photos cannot convey. These listings get an aerial that establishes the relationship between the house and whatever sits behind it, plus rear exteriors timed for when the light is on the back of the home rather than behind it.

Condos and Townhomes Around Ballpark Commons

The mixed-use development around Franklin Field has added condo and townhome inventory that sells on a different premise from the subdivisions: walkability, and being able to leave the car at home for dinner or a game.

Those listings are marketed on location as much as on square footage. Alongside the interiors the set includes exteriors that place the unit within the development, and a Matterport 3D tour is worth more than usual here, because many of these buyers are relocating and shortlisting before they ever visit in person.

Drone Work in Franklin

Aerials matter more here than in the older suburbs, because lot size, tree cover and what a property backs onto are all things buyers are paying for, and none of them read from the ground.

Parts of Franklin fall inside the controlled airspace around Milwaukee Mitchell International, where an FAA authorization is required before a legal flight. Propellr is Part 107 certificated and files LAANC authorization ahead of the shoot wherever an address needs it, so the flight is cleared before arrival rather than discovered as a problem on the day. Send the address when you book and it gets checked in advance.

Scheduling, Turnaround, and Pricing in Franklin

Franklin shoots are usually booked within a couple of days, and photos are delivered MLS-ready within 24 hours of the shoot. Aerials, Matterport tours, floor plans and video are all captured on the same visit rather than as a second appointment, so the listing goes live in one pass.

Real estate photography pricing starts at $125 and depends on square footage and which services you want. Send an address and a square footage and you get availability and an exact quote back the same day.

Franklin Real Estate Photography FAQ

Can you fly a drone at my Franklin address?

In most cases yes. Propellr is Part 107 certificated, and where an address sits inside controlled airspace the LAANC authorization is filed ahead of the shoot. Send the address when you book and it is checked before the appointment.

How do you photograph a home on a large or wooded lot?

With a combination of ground exteriors and an aerial. On a big parcel the lot is part of what is being sold, and it does not read from a driveway-level photo. The aerial establishes the boundaries, the tree cover and what the property backs onto.

How fast will I get my Franklin listing photos?

Standard delivery is MLS-ready within 24 hours of the shoot. Same-day delivery is available when a listing has to go live immediately.

Do you cover Oak Creek, Greendale, Hales Corners, and Muskego?

Yes. Franklin sits between them and all are inside the regular service area, along with Oak Creek and the rest of southeast Wisconsin.
